Life Drawing with Mark Thurman
Week 4, September 20th, 2011
Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to talk with Mark during class so I don't know what I could have done to improve in the second half the class. But I think this was a pretty successful class none the less, everything was just flowing out nicely. I actually really enjoyed drawing a fuller model this time. I was so much more aware of the proportions, and not making mistakes as over elongating the legs or something like that I was focuses on see the form and trying to make the flesh look soft and real versus sculpting the c model out of paper.
It's quite fun. When I go to add in the times to each drawing I think no that can't be 30 seconds there's a lot in there, but I look at the paper and it is. So biggest improvement? Ditching the mannequin feel with key joint drawing; less skeletal. Nice to have improvement? Speed, I draw so much faster and can read lines much more quickly. It's pretty fun watching myself grow week to week in these photos.
