Some new inspiration....

With the pretty rad Bobby Chiu coming to Sheridan as a guest speaker, I browsed around the site he was on  CGSociety , this is the link to his CGPortfolio: Bobby Chiu.

On this site I found 3 in the slideshow quick gallery that caught my eye:

"Flamenco" by Francisco Jose Albusac
Reason for infatuation? The combination of messiness and precision. A dancer is known for their technique and elegance, in this image you feel the passion, the energy of which her body is exerting to make her dress fly wildly in the air. You feel such a strong presence and you can't help but feel captivated by the simple pose and only hope to move your own body with as much vigor and grace as that shown in this fluid artwork.
"Oracle" by Marta Dahlig

Reason for infatuation? The mood that is read by the limited colour palette and lighting. The sense of gravity and mystery lurking behind the cloth; the lack of detail in face that is made up by the hinting of those key features.

"Dream" by Alexey Kashpersky

Reason for infatuation? The Line of Action and lighting is gorgeous and stunning. His feeling of being frozen in time; in a crystalline moment of awe. I feel the rapture of falling to the beauty of our own form.
